ISO Audit Meeting

One area that makes A to Z Machine stand out from its competitors is the fact that we are ISO Certified.

What does this mean?

ISO stands for International Standards Organization. Ever since 2012 (when we got our first ISO Certification), we have had an ISO auditor come into our facilities to make sure we comply to the standard and our procedures are current and relevant to our business. Every 3 years, an auditor comes in for multiple days and meets with department heads and the quality assurance team to go through each standard and procedure. During this audit, A to Z shows evidence of our compliance. Every year our internally trained ISO team does surveillance checks to make sure we are up to the standard.

One of the requirements that comes with being ISO Certified is having a Quality Policy. We ask that our Quality motto and ISO mission statement is known by all team members. Our statement is:

“Supporting our company mission of ‘Superior Customer Solutions through Great People, Great Processes, Great Products, and Great Partnerships’ through the standards, processes, and audits we use for retaining our ISO Certification”.

Another ISO Certification requirement includes creating and posting objectives. These can be updated and posted on a quarterly basis. We choose to post some of these on a weekly basis to keep our Employee Owners up to date on our standings. Our objectives are:

“Quality Shipment, On Time Delivery, and Internal NCR’s by Department”.

Other ISO Certification requirements include controlling documents and setting a certain standard that speaks to our facility care, employee evaluation and training, controlling non-conforming material, and having repeatable procedures when practical. Many of these standards are identifiable with procedures which are documents that describe how the requirements are accomplished and what the end result should be.

Last month, an ISO Auditor came in to ensure we are compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard. We received our recertification in ISO and received perfect feedback with no non-conforming areas under the ISO standard. We are happy to offer our customers a trusted quality management system.
